The patient load or limit is counted by how many current and active patients the practitioner has under a current prescription. For instance, if you write a prescription to a patient
For Suboxone, and that prescription is for a 30 day supply, that one patient counts under your authorized patient limit for that 30 day period. The patients are counted based upon if they have an active prescription (how long the prescription lasts). So it’s based on how many prescriptions you have written for your patients and the length of time each prescription lasts.
Also, if you are covering for another practitioner, and you write a prescription for Suboxone for example, that patient/prescription also counts towards your patient limit for the duration of the prescription. So in the examples answers you’ve provided below, it would not be how many are assigned to the practitioner, it’s how many current and active prescriptions you have written for patients.
